This is one of my older and defining pieces. It's personally my favorite and somewhat of a trademark of all things tunks :)I really enjoyed the 'work in progress' process 'cause it mainly entailed me sitting at my desk peering into the depts of my soul! Ah yes folks, I used the mirror to work the details.
I wish I had scanned it straight though :p ... Stay tuned for part 2 of the eye drawing saga :)

The Eye always says the most. Said that before, didn't I? Could it be if you stare into someone's eyes long enough you can see their past, present and future? Somehow I think the eyes never lie.

Hey, i was recently introduced to you and aka_lol's blog by a friend of mine. Thought you guys offered some interesting reading...and art.
If I may comment, without "bein fass", I think you did a great job with The Eye. I agree with aka_lol, in that it's the organ that says the most.
I usually get slightly freaked out by drawings or picture of eyes, because I feel like they're looking at me, uninvited.The Eye doesn't do that. It doesn't peer into you, it's inviting you to peer into it.

Yuh know - that could jus be it... I myself find myself steering into the eye... like its got a hold on me.

Tunks, don't straighten the eye. I think the effect is very artistic :)
In real life The Eye of the person we are looking in to, or into, is never as straight as we would want it. To make a good assessment of someone we need to look at their eyes when they don't think we are looking. Eye-contact is good but eye-observation can give a better picture of the person you have an eye on.
The eye is the body part that sends the most amount of information to the brain. The brain then processes this information and tells the eye what to do next. Here are some unrelated examples of eye-to-brain talk:
"Keep looking at her"
"Who?"
"Don't pretend, keep looking"
"Wow!"
"Quick! Hide the guilt by assuming a sleepy look of disinterest"
"How?"
"I don't know! You are the eyes I am just the brains behind this"
All this information exchange between The Eye and The Brain can lead to a condition called shifty-eye syndrome, aka - guilty as charged :)
