Crush

At this very moment, a good friend and I are talking about the good ole days of childhood crushes :) ... its a really beautiful bittersweet feeling remembering those days of unadulterated, nonperverse, pure and innocent crushes on that person who just so happened to be your bestest friend in the whole wide world!

*sigh* :)

when the heart does it initial call again... d feeling is nothing short of dat when we were younger. Its only when our mind steps up, years of learning and burning overshadows...

You haven’t lived until you have been crushed. As unrealistic as a crush might seem, it manages to make life the most intense during that time. It can cloud judgment and feet. More people have walked into walls and fell into ponds during a crush than any drunken episode. The term crush was used to describe this state of pitter-patter love because the heart and senses behave as if they are being crushed. To walk on cloud-nine during a crush is the closest thing to heaven on earth. It probably is even better than heaven, who knows. A crush is intoxicating and even addictive. Some say it’s the happiest and the saddest the mind will ever be. Some say it’s the most intense life will ever get.

A crush is not age dependent but that is denied by the “adults” among us who believe perpetual sadness, boredom and a general lack of enthusiasm for life is a sign of maturity. Those are not signs of maturity but signs that they have forgotten how to live and what is important in life. The young know what is important and that is why they sometimes resent the pseudo-wisdom of the old. To many of the old, anything which tells a person how to stop enjoying life is considered wisdom. Is it any wonder that the world is becoming sadder and more helpless every day?

I strayed too much as usual but when I thought about a crush I remembered how intense life could be and how much effort people put into achieving a heighten state of boredom and nonexistence. But nonexistence will eventually come so my advice is to live while you are alive and don’t ever be afraid of a crush, or even to eat Häagen-Dazs for breakfast :)
