What's more depressing than the overall vibe of that adventure, is coming home to feel just as depressed as I was before :-\ I'm almost angry at myself.

One cannot run away from one’s own issues because its inherently portable, mobile, it moves when you moves and how you move. Wherever you are, it is, to be rid of it is to deal with it head on, walk through it and you will be able to sail over it.
